of this associataion is similar to ABTA in that it protects consumers purchasing
holidays in the United Kingdom. The Travel Trust association members operate Trust
accounts to manage funds received for holiday arrangements, which significantly reduces
the risk of any consumer loosing their money when booking, especially if a debit/credit
card is used for payment. All card payments are credited to the trust account.
Each traveller has their own fidelity insurance policy which covers upto £11,000
should any agent or supplier not bank the monies in the correct legitmate manner.
If you are booking your flights and other travel extras through another company
the whole booking will not be covered by us, only the part of the booking we have
provided.
